European Sky Wedding Inspiration | The Big Fake Wedding: Houston

Ryann JarrardComment

How many of y'all have heard of the Big Fake Wedding? I admit, I hadn't heard of it before attending Stationery Academy last March. But after doing some research, I realized they were coming to Houston in November and were still missing a stationery vendor! So, I reached out to BFW and secured my spot to design the invitation suite! And - now I'm so giddy because it has been featured on Ruffled Blog today!

I'd like to share the inspiration behind this suite - it all started with that GORGEOUS marbled paper envelope liner from Paper Source - can we all agree its stunning?! And it matched the "Soft European Sky" theme of BFW perfectly!

Then I got to thinking about the invitation itself and I knew I wanted hand lettering to be included from the ever talented Jenny Lake of A Fine Flourish. Jenny and I met about 6 months ago and I just adore her calligraphy, She hand lettered the names of the bride and groom and then I had a stamp made with the hand lettering so that I could hand emboss them on the invitation in gold. Another piece of this suite that I love is the paper and the die cut corners - it adds just a touch of sophistication and something unexpected. Jenny also addressed my outer and response envelopes for me in the sky blue ink to match the invitation. So there you have it - the invitation in a nutshell!

Enjoy the other very talented BFW vendor photos below and click over to the Ruffled Blog if you have a minute!

Y'all - isn't that floral arrangement TO DIE FOR?! Ashley McCormick  designed it as well as 3 other tables capes for the event. Ashley also saved me in the nick of time and put together an arrangement for my vendor table on the spot that perfectly matched my brand! She is so talented and I'm so glad I got to meet her!

The happy couple that renewed their wedding vows! They also have a precious little girl!

Another of Ashley's beautiful designs!

Isn't this chalkboard sign adorable? My sweet table neighbor, Sarah, of Beau Tied Affair designed it! I loved getting to connect with Sarah and learn about her business!
