Jess and Cade | Texas Hill Country Wedding Invitations

I'm thrilled to be writing the first blog post (of many I hope!) featuring a real wedding invitation suite I designed for a very cool couple that I met through Mallory, an event planner with Two be Wed! This  wedding was so special for several reasons - probably the biggest one being that it was a surprise to all of their guests! All of their guests were under the illusion that this was a big engagement party weekend in the hill country. Much to their surprise and delight - Jess and Cade were actually tying the knot! It was also a really fun weekend because it happened to be New Years Eve!

To tie in the New Years Eve theme, I incorporated gold twinkly lights in the design as well as a fun black and white stripe on the back of the invitations. White ink on flat printing really gives the invitations a luxe feel. I also love how the twinkly mimic the last photo of the couple in this post!

The couple married at Hideout on the Horseshoe in the rustic Texas Hill Country. The venue is located on Canyon Lake and a lot of their guests were able to stay on the property in cabins.

Holiday card round-up

Well since the holidays are coming to a close WAY too quickly - I think it is finally safe to share the holiday cards that I designed this year for some dear, dear clients! One of the biggest compliments I can receive as a designer is to have clients come back year after year to design their family cards. So without further adieu... here they are!

Aren't these boys precious?! This family took their own photos and I love how they turned out!

Both of these cards had special announcements hidden within them - so fun!

The majority of my designs this year (and the years before) feature family photos so this was a fun one to get to design for a close friend's parents who recently moved!

I love that New Years cards have really become popular - it makes the season last just a little bit longer!

This client is one of my faves. Her sense of humor slays me every time. She's also an amazing event planner with an eye for detail - Beecher's Boutique Events.

New babies make for precious Christmas cards! I designed birth announcements on one side of the card and a Christmas message on the other! Two birds with one stone, amiright?! The photos on both of these cards were taken by my very talented friend, Meg of Meg Ruffing Photography

Aren't these kiddos adorable? Love the clean typography on this one!

All things pink! first birthday styled shoot

birthday, styled shootRyann JarrardComment

I've had the pleasure of taking part in a handful of styled shoots over the past year (I am going to try and post about each one...soon!) but all have been wedding styled shoots. So when Esther Freedman, the founder and designer of cuteheads, the most adorable children's clothing line, approached me about a little girl's first birthday styled shoot - I jumped at the opportunity. The little girl pictured below is wearing the Leah Tutu Romper from Cuteheads. I'm fairly certain I'm going to need to order it for my daughter ASAP.

I've known Esther since high school and have spent the past few years being in awe of her amazing entrepreneurial journey. She also mentioned that the photographer for the shoot was none other then Ailee Petrovic of Snapshots by Ailee Petrovic who just recently shot a bunch of my wedding invitations and featured me on her blog!

Let's talk a minute about that acrylic PINK chandelier. Its from Chandelier by NK and was the inspiration for this shoot! Also - isn't that laurel headband precious? I've followed Willow Crowns on instagram for a while and adore all her little girl's hair accessories!

The two pieces I provided for the shoot were this adorable invitation which I die cut "ONE" on (LOTS AND LOTS of pink in this shoot!) and backed it with this fun gold glitter paper. I also created the bunting banner below for the smash cake topper. I've been a long-time patron of Three Brothers Bakery - I used to ride my bike there when I was little and buy gingerbread cookies with my allowance! I love that they were able to do a pink ombre for the smash cake!

If you have a little princess who loves pink - I hope you were able to grab some inspiration from this very pink post!
